Frequently Asked Questions

Why is asking a CSRT qualified surveyor so important?
CSRT stands for certified surveyor in remedial treatments, and this matters a lot. It means that the surveyor who gives you recommendations about the problem you may have in your home has passed all the required exams of competency, and is also committed to working to high levels of ethics, honesty and integrity.

How can I check your company out other than this website?
We are proud to be approved by the fair trades and you can visit their website fairtrades.co.uk or call 0870 28 38 48. We are also approved by Triton, who are the UK 's leading manufacturer of products for the remedial industry.

If I have damp will I have to have my walls replastered?
Not necessarily. There can be many causes of damp in your property and replastering is only sometimes required in the case of advanced rising damp. Generally, the earlier you can treat rising damp the more chance you have of saving your plaster.

Will I have to vacate my home while work is being done?
Generally speaking, no. Aquaseal use environmentally friendly non-solvent based products that are approved by the health and safety executive and have very little odour, and are very safe for you and your family. Only in certain cases of dry rot treatment it may be necessary to stay outside your home, but even then only for 24 hours.

Will the work be guaranteed?
Yes. The length of the guarantee depends on the type of work that is needed. Damp courses and timber treatment are guaranteed for 30 years. Aquaseal guarantees are building society accepted and easily assignable to the new owner when you come to sell the property, thus helping you get the best sale price with no delays.
